The 47th Annual Homburg May Festival

Friday May 26 to Monday May 29 – 2023

This year’s traditional Homburg May Festival will take place over the last weekend at the end of May – which the organisers hope will guarantee good weather. This year’s festival will offer four days of fun for the whole family.

Four days long – A whole host of events – All for free!

The Homburg pedestrian zone from the Marktplatz to the Christian-Weber-Platz, and Ilmenauer-Platz will host a wide variety of festival events. In the streets around the city center there will be many stalls offering everything from exotic herbs to T-shirts, from hats to handicrafts as well as culinary delicacies, beers and wines, both local and international. The Saarlanders like to eat good – “gud gess“!

New this year will be the Maifest-Becher (2 Euros) which can be refilled at any of the stands along the way, a nice souvenir of the Homburg May Festival, and helps to significantly reduce the plastic waste.

Concerts will take place on three open-air stages. The main stage will be located at the Talstrasse in front of the Christian-Weber-Platz. Other stages will be on the old historical Marktplatz and the Rock Stage am Rondell.

On Sunday on the Ilmenauer Platz there’ll be activities for the kids. A bouncy castle, kids make-up, clowns and much more.

Entertainers and walking acts will also liven up the atmosphere over the whole weekend.
